Terms of Use — QR Code Generator - Main
Last updated: September 16, 2026
1. Agreement and parties
These Terms of Use describe the app features, subscriptions and acceptable use of QR Code Generator - Main (the "app"), provided by Hamid Manafov, an individual developer based in Azerbaijan. "I" and "my" refer to Hamid Manafov; "you" refers to the person using the app.
These are additional service terms. They are not a custom End User Licence Agreement and do not replace Apple's Standard EULA, which governs the software licence as explained in section 3. Nothing in these terms reduces protections under that licence or your mandatory legal rights.
By downloading, installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install the app and stop using it.
These terms take effect on September 16, 2026 and replace any earlier version. The Privacy Policy, published at https://hamid207.github.io/qr-legal/privacy.html, explains how the app handles information and forms part of this agreement by reference. The current version of these terms is published at https://hamid207.github.io/qr-legal/terms.html.
2. Eligibility
To accept these terms you must be able to enter into a binding contract under the law that applies to you. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the app only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the app.
3. App Store licence
The app software is licensed under Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA). That agreement governs permission to use the software, licence restrictions and termination of the software licence. If these service terms conflict with the Standard EULA on a software-licence matter, the Standard EULA governs that matter.
Use is also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Family Sharing availability for a PRO subscription is stated in the App Store purchase information.
Do not bypass or tamper with purchase checks, or access PRO features without a valid entitlement. Section 9 describes the acceptable-use rules for the app.
4. What the app does
The app lets you:
- scan QR codes and barcodes with the camera of your device, or read them from a picture you choose in your photo library;
- create QR codes and change how they look;
- keep a history of the codes you scanned, on the device.
Code recognition and generation happen on your device. Live scanning needs camera permission; reading a selected photo does not. Scanning can fail or return an incorrect result because of hardware limitations, damage to a code, poor printing or lighting.
5. Subscription access
An active PRO subscription is required to use scanning, code creation and export. You can dismiss the purchase screen and browse the app without subscribing, but using these features requires PRO. An eligible introductory trial provides access while the subscription entitlement is active. Purchase restoration and the legal links remain available without an active subscription. History browsing and management, and Settings controls, can also be used without a subscription.
PRO includes all design templates and styling options. Exported codes have no watermark.
The purchase screen describes the included features before you pay. Section 17 covers changes.
6. Subscriptions
PRO is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. The purchase is made through the App Store and is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm it.
- Auto-renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Renewal charge. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price then in force for your plan.
- What you are told before you pay. The price, the length of the period, and any introductory offer or free trial are shown on the purchase screen inside the app before you confirm payment. Prices are set for your App Store country and may differ between countries.
- Free trials. Eligibility, trial length and the price after the trial are shown before you subscribe. A trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled in time. Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid a charge. If you purchase a subscription while using an eligible trial, any unused trial portion is forfeited where Apple's terms provide for this.
- Managing and cancelling. Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select this app and cancel. The app's Manage Subscription action also opens Apple's subscription controls. Cancellation stops future renewal; paid access continues until the paid period ends. Trial access may end when cancelled, as indicated by Apple.
- Deleting the app. Removing the app from your device does not cancel the subscription and does not stop it from renewing. You must cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings.
7. Price and plan changes
I may change the price of a subscription or the plans that are offered, for example when costs, taxes or exchange rates change. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Where Apple requires it, Apple will notify you of a price increase before it takes effect and will ask for your consent; if consent is required and you do not give it, the subscription is not renewed at the new price. If you do not agree with a change, you can cancel the subscription before the next renewal date as described in section 6.
8. Refunds
All purchases in the app are processed by Apple, not by me, so refunds are requested from and decided by Apple under the App Store terms. You can ask for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com or through your purchase history in your Apple Account.
I have no way to issue, reverse or guarantee an App Store refund. If something went wrong with a purchase, write to hamidmanafov7@gmail.com and I will help where I can, for example by explaining what happened or by fixing a problem with the app.
This does not affect any refund or cancellation right you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country.
9. Acceptable use
You are responsible for what you do with the app. You agree not to:
- use the app for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
- create codes that lead to malware, phishing, scams or content that infringes someone else's rights;
- use a code to impersonate another person, business or organisation.
You must also comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app or services it opens.
A material breach of these rules may end your rights under these service terms as described in section 16. Software-licence termination is governed by the Standard EULA.
10. Content you create
The data you encode and the QR codes you generate are yours. I claim no ownership of them and no licence over them.
QR content and saved designs are processed locally. You control any export or sharing. The Privacy Policy explains storage, subscription data and support communications.
If you add a logo, an image or any other material to a code, you confirm that you have the right to use it for that purpose. You are responsible for any content you encode or embed.
11. Third-party content and scanned destinations
A scanned code may point to a third-party website, payment page, Wi-Fi network or other resource. I do not control or endorse those destinations.
The app decodes a code and shows you what it contains. It does not check whether the destination is safe, accurate, genuine or lawful, and it does not scan for malicious content. A detected web link opens when you choose the open action, or automatically in single-scan mode if you enable Auto-open detected link in Settings. Auto-open is off by default and does not apply to batch scans. The decision to open a destination, join a network or make a payment is yours.
I am not responsible for third-party content, destinations or services you reach through a scanned code, and any dealings you have with them are between you and them.
12. Intellectual property
The app, its name, its design, its icons, its screens and its code belong to Hamid Manafov and are protected by copyright and other laws. The Standard EULA described in section 3 governs your software licence. These service terms do not transfer ownership of the app.
The app includes third-party open-source components. Those components remain the property of their authors and stay subject to their own licences, which apply to them instead of this section.
13. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
In plain terms: I do not promise that scanning or code generation will be uninterrupted or free of errors, that every code will be recognised, or that a code you decode or create will be valid, safe, readable by every reader, or suitable for the purpose you have in mind.
Please check important codes independently before you rely on them — in particular codes used for payments, tickets, boarding passes or Wi-Fi credentials. Test a code you created with the reader that will actually be used, and confirm a payment destination with the payee.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, lost data or lost opportunity, arising out of or connected with your use of the app.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MY TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS CONNECTED WITH THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD 50.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the applicable law — for example liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are not affected by this section.
15. Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against me because you used the app unlawfully, in breach of section 9, or because of content you encoded in a code you created, you agree to cover the resulting losses and reasonable legal costs.
This applies only to the extent the claim was actually caused by your own act or omission, and only to the extent permitted by the law that applies to you. It does not apply to anything caused by my own fault, and it does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.
16. Term and termination
These terms apply for as long as you use the app.
You may stop using the app at any time. I may terminate your rights under these service terms for a material breach, subject to applicable law and any required notice or remedy. Termination of the software licence is governed by the Standard EULA. Ending use of the app or these terms does not by itself cancel a subscription: cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings as described in section 6.
Sections that by their nature are meant to continue survive the end of these service terms — in particular sections 10 to 15 (content, third-party destinations, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity), section 18 (governing law) and section 19 (Apple).
17. Changes to the app and to these terms
Features and these terms may change as the app develops or legal requirements change. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or App Store release notes, with the updated terms and effective date published at https://hamid207.github.io/qr-legal/terms.html. Changes do not override mandatory consumer rights or rights relating to a subscription period already paid for.
Where applicable law requires notice, consent or a remedy, those requirements apply. If you do not accept revised terms, stop using the app and cancel any subscription through Apple as described in section 6. Deleting the app alone does not cancel it.
18. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the courts of Baku, Azerbaijan have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live — including, for consumers resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the mandatory rules of that country. You may also bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence where the law of that country gives you this right.
19. Apple and these service terms
These additional service terms are between you and Hamid Manafov. Apple is not a party to them. For questions or support about the app, contact me using section 20. Apple handles App Store billing and subscription controls as described in sections 6 to 8.
The Standard EULA linked in section 3 remains the software licence. Nothing in these service terms changes Apple's obligations under its own agreements or removes protections provided by the Standard EULA or mandatory law.
